Katherine Carter – Churchill at Chartwell

Please join us on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Noon PST to welcome our guest speaker Katherine Carter who will speak on Churchill at Chartwell.

Katherine Carter is a Curator and Historian specializing in early 20th century British political history and has managed the house and collections at Chartwell, the home of Winston Churchill, for almost a decade.

Katherine leads the research, presentation, interpretation and conservation of the house and collections. Her exhibitions include ‘Death of a Hero’, ‘Into the Trenches’ and ‘Churchill & The Crown’.

Katherine is an Associate Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. She speaks on the subject of Winston Churchill internationally, advises film and television productions, and appears frequently in print and broadcast media. Her first book, ‘Churchill, Chartwell and the Countdown to War’ is being published by Yale University Press and is due for release in 2024.
