We are pleased to announce that our Society’s gala dinner will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025 at a venue to be confirmed. Our keynote speaker this year is Katherine Carter who will speak to our Society about her new book “Churchill’s Citadel: Chartwell and the Gatherings Before the Storm”, a major new history of Churchill in the 1930s, showing how his meetings at Chartwell, his country home, strengthened his fight against the Nazis.
Katherine is an author, historian and curator who has managed the house and collections at Chartwell, the home of Sir Winston Churchill, for more than a decade. She is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and is frequently invited to speak on the subject of Winston Churchill for groups and organisations across the world. She also advises film, television and theatre productions and regularly appears in print and broadcast media discussing the life and legacy of Winston Churchill. Some of you may remember Katherine from her excellent Zoom presentation on “Chartwell” that she made to our Society on February 16, 2023. Please mark your calendars.
