Please join us on Monday, June 3, 2024 to welcome our Guest Speaker and Patron, Randolph Churchill who will address our Society on Sir Winston Churchill and Canada.
Winston Churchill deemed Canada “the linchpin of the English-speaking world” and celebrated the Canadian character. Bound by a common culture and unified under the Monarchy, the United Kingdom and Canada have worked together for the betterment of mankind.
From Flanders in the First World War to the beaches of Normandy in the Second, Britons and Canadians fought and died together for the preservation of freedom round the world. Eight decades after D-Day, we will commemorate the essential contribution of Canada to the liberation of what Churchill called “the proud and happy nations of Europe.”.
