January 18, 2007 featured Dennis Molnar, a member of our Society, speaking on The Enigma Machine. Dennis introduced Edna Cooper who worked at Bletchley Park during WWII. He also introduced Commander Alec Dennis who captured the armed German Polares and it Enigma documents.
On March 5, 2007, Mr. Lewis Lukens, Consul General of the United States of America spoke on The Formation of U.S. Foreign Policy: The Inside View. His father (longtime diplomat) and mother were present for the occasion.
Our Annual Banquet was held on May 10, 2007. Professor Jim Muller, Chairman of the Board of Academic Advisers of The Churchill Centre spoke on The River War: An Historical Account of the Reconquest of the Sudan. Mr. Robert Brown displayed a spear from the Battle of Omdurman.
Our Annual General Meeting on November 14, 2007 featured Professor Barry Gough spoke on Titans at the Admiralty: Winston Churchill and Admiral Lord Fisher.
